watching sports

Sun, April 11, 2010

It’s Sunday morning and that’s mean we’ll see boxing matches at TV in the living room. It’s a habit that my grandpa develops and sometimes you can see that he actually asleep while watching it well, he sleeps most of the time in front of the TV-. Actually there’s a lot of sport that I didn’t find the amusement or enjoyment to watch. Namely boxing, racing (Formula or Moto GP), basketball etc.

Perhaps that has to do with my own interest at sports. You can say that I’m lacking on that department, I’m the laziest person... Don’t get me wrong, I had plenty of motivation to do some exercises, I bought the necessary gears like shoes; even the yoga DVD that I recently bought. My mind processes are like this: okay if I buy the gears than I have to do the exercise because it would be wasting money if I didn’t do it. You can guess what the results are. Yes, it didn’t change anything and I’m still didn’t do any exercises well, I only do yoga once yesterday-.
Does it have to do with my inability to maintain something routine? Wait…I’ll be back, my laundry are calling me…

Okay here I am now my grandma is so obsessive-compulsive/OC with laundry- oh, look there’s Indonesian boxer in this match. Go Indonesia!!!

Where were we?? I can become ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) sometimes. Oh yes…routinely, that’s another ‘it’s-so-me’ habit out of plenty that I have. Lately I’m doing some exercises with dumbbell to shape my arms, after 3-4 day I lost interest in doing so. You see I’m truly not step-by-step or ‘telaten’ person. I start where ever I like and I see fit, I’m distracted easily and I often changes. Like one time I commit to shape my arms, and then I found yoga is more interesting to do, afterward I want to burn some carbo. Thus I cannot make one month exercises plan and stick to it ‘till the end. Pfff….

So now you see perhaps my uninterested to watch some sports has to do with something routinely. If we looked back, sports usually have to do with same thing over and over again. Like boxing for instances, there are two people that kept hitting each other over and over again for 1-2 hours. How you can find enjoyment on watching that?? For me, it looked like they’re doing the same thing –I don’t know anything about the move or the trick-. Same thing for other sport, Moto GP or Formula. How come you can watch some vehicle that goes around over and over again, doing in circle or at least looks like circle or oval maybe-, doing the same thing over again?? I didn’t found repetitive or doing the same thing are amusing. I get bored easily watching the same thing most of the time, like when you’re watching sports. So I guess my uninterested on watching sports has to do with my personality more or less. How ‘bout you??
